A Double Award-Winning RHS Flower Show Tatton Park 2023

Delighted to have won both the Best Tradestand and Five Star Tradestand Awards at RHS Flower Show Tatton Park 2023

We were thrilled to showcase a variety of structures from our prestigious Greenhouse and Glasshouse ranges on our Five Star and Best Tradestand double award-winning stand at the RHS Tatton Park Flower Show this year.

The ‘Feel Good’ themed installation featured four distinct handcrafted Greenhouses, each exhibiting an array of magnificent homegrown produce to underline the wellness advantages of adopting the ‘grow your own’ approach.

The structures on display were, the Opus Botanic, the Victorian Villa, the Victorian Chelsea, and the Wisley 8 Grow & Store. In keeping with the recent aesthetics trend, three of these structures were presented in soft, neutral hues – Country Stone, Verona Stone, and Olive Leaf – mirroring the colour preferences of many Greenhouse enthusiasts today.

The award-winning landscaped stand, skilfully designed and constructed by Base Squared, demonstrated the countless variety of plants that can thrive in a Hartley Botanic Greenhouse and showcased the enriching experience and health benefits of cultivating, nurturing and consuming your own produce.

A bounty of homegrown edibles, including melons, tomatoes, corn, purple sprouting broccoli, and courgettes, were primarily displayed within the Greenhouses. These were supplemented with aromatic herbs like basil and various salad variants. The Victorian Villa and Victorian Chelsea Greenhouses exhibited in-glass tomato plants, while the Opus Botanic featured a variety of citrus trees and palms. In addition to the edible focus, gorgeous marigolds and trailing petunias added to the vibrant aesthetics.

The Greenhouses were stylised to serve as functional gardening platforms. Besides being dedicated spaces for plant cultivation, they also featured serene seating areas for unwinding and leisure.

Playing off the ‘Feel Good’ concept, the external landscaping exhibited a palette of refreshing purples and whites, highlighted by UK-grown lavender’s aroma and the towering Verbena bonariensis. Even grasses had a significant role, their soothing sway helping to drive away the day’s stress. The stand was also adorned with a multi-stem hornbeam that provided a shaded relaxation spot beside a sleek, cool concrete bench.
