Hartley Botanic is pleased to announce its sponsorship of Perennial’s special events programme for 2017.

Perennial’s special events offer exclusive access to some spectacular gardens across the country, many of which are not usually open to the public. From an exclusive tour and lunch at Belmond Le Manoir aux Quat’Saisons, which features a fabulous Hartley Botanic greenhouse, to an evening with designer Roger Platts in his private Kent garden, Perennial special events are for anyone who loves gardens.

Perennial is the charity that helps all horticulturists in times of need and its special events are one way in which it raises money to continue its work. Perennial has long been associated with the great country houses and gardens of Great Britain, having started life as a benevolent fund set up to provide pensions and take care of gardeners who were sick or elderly. It has maintained a close bond with the country’s leading gardens and the special events programme reflects its continued support from garden owners.

Chris Crooker, Events Manager at Perennial, says: “Each year we strive to offer a real mix of events for our supporters and this year we are thrilled with the selection on offer. Hartley Botanic’s generous sponsorship has allowed us to produce information about the programme and secure earlier booking than ever before. By attending one of our special events, you can see some fabulous gardens and at the same time help us support those who need us.”

Perennial relies on the support of the UK horticulture industry and companies like Harley Botanic, as well as all those who love gardens and gardening to continue its work. Perennial offers free and confidential advice, support and financial assistance to everyone working in or retired from horticulture and its services are often described as a lifeline to those in need.
